Muslims are obliged to acknowledge certain articles of faith, known as iman – objects of faith. There are six of them.
5. The Day of Judgment – This is the greatly feared day in which God will weigh every man’s deeds and decide their eternal fate. The orthodox belief, which is not common among folk Islam, is that after the natural disasters and wars and appearance of the Antichrist, the resurrected ones will walk on earth for forty years, while the recordings of their deeds will be weighed.
Every person will then cross a narrow bridge. All infidels (people who don’t believe in God, and according to the Qur’an that does not include Christians or Jews) will fall into hell and stay there for eternity.
