Qur’an and the Injeel

koran_bible

Injeel is the “good news” and in the Qur’an (Al-Qur’an Al-Karim), the Injeel is also called “the Book of Jesus.”  It is probably important for us to see what the Qur’an itself has to say about the Injeel.

First of all, Al-Injeel is sent from God —

“Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Qur’an. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.”      Surah 3:2-4

Muslims must read and believe in the Injeel —

“Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”          Surah 2:136

“Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah . But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.” Surah 57:27

Muslims meant to be friends to Christians —

“You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.” – Surah 5:82

Christians will judge all revelation by the Injeel —

“And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.” – Surah 5:47

Say, “O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.” And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.’ – Surah 5:68

You may find these verses unusual because even the imams are teaching what is contrary to what’s noted in these verses. So when the imams say Al-Tawrat was corrupted so God sent Az-Zubar, and when Az-Zubar was corrupted, God sent Al-Injeel and when finally the Injeel was corrupted that God had to send the Qur’an which is incorruptible for it is the word of God — the Qur’an, the holy book of Islam, never makes such a claim.

What kind of book is the Injil?

Also in many cases, the names we are given at birth have both biblical and heavenly identities tied into them. Our Heavenly Father who watches over us daily has created the ideal path for each of us to take to travel the journey of life, just as a father will make plans for his own child by putting things in place at a very early age for education, health, graduation, and marriage. God has predestined and equipped each of us to carry out a specific purpose that will create the design He desires to be in place for His kingdom to be effective in the earth.
